Come to CeltFest and meet Blaeddau Du, a Viking re-enactment group portraying Hiberno-Norse and Welsh in South Wales circa 950CE. See period Combat displays, and our period Living History displays. Come and meet our Warriors and Crafters on the encampment where you will be able to try on a Viking helmet, hold a shield and weapon for that ‘Raiding photo’; also talk and interact with our crafts people, to discover crafts of the old ways such as tablet weaving, nalbinding, making clothes, dyeing, wood carving, leather work and cooking. You may even like to challenge one of our Warriors to a game of Hnefatafl or maybe your 11yr old (or younger) Warrior might like to take on our Warriors in shield wall combat in our ‘Kiddie Vike’.
