This Mead is the Ginger that lingers, much like Geri Halliwell. Unlike her this mead has amazing taste and more than enough talent to stand alone. Avoiding all the usual ginger talk, warming tastes, and spiciness, this Ginger Mead gives you a subtle ride through the layered flavours, the mead pushes through first and as the sweetness subsides you are left with that wonderful gingery glow and warm..... ok not totally avoiding it. This is a drink to enjoy in the dark, cold evenings. Currently my fire is ablaze and I am enjoying this with a cinnamon pastry, it is a desert wine, but it is not a light option. This Mead is a finisher, it is drawing one glass after another from me, forcing me to eat more cake, this is a temptress of a Mead. As it warms the flavours open out and the Ginger begins to supersede the sweetness of the base mead, and here is the sweet spot. The flavours blend together giving you the festive flavour you were looking for in buying a ginger anything.

This is a great drink.

Warm and spicy works extremely well with rum and whisky. Also makes for a nice addition to a hot toddy when you're feeling a bit under the weather.

A tipple that warms you to the core, this fiery ginger mead is perfect for those crisp, finger-chilling evenings. Flawlessly balanced between sweet and spiced, this mead is greatly complimented with a hot apple dessert. Be warned, however, this drink will not last long when shared, as, by the time the last cup is full, the first will be emptied!

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with ginger but this Ginger Mead falls firmly into the love category. It's mildly spiced, warming, and delightful. I like to drink it neat, under a blanket with a good book in hand but I think it would be ideal added to a warm whiskey cocktail or some mulled cider.
