Review: 16% ABV from Poland

Hey folks. I’ve been lucky enough to try this Mead tonight. It’s from Poland and it’s the highest grade to be had, 4 parts honey to one part water.

On the nose it is hot on the alcohol and seems stronger than the 16% ABV with a herbal note, reminiscent of those found in Jagermeister. Then it’s cinnamon and bubblegum with a warm honey tang.

It is very sweet and thick. On the palate it is Honey sweetness and bubblegum again, with a very warming finish.
This is very much a sipping Mead, more like a liqueur and quite lovely.

A real gem of a find. ~ Bob.
